About Sidhhartha Compassion Trust
I am delighted to share with you the inspiring journey of Siddhartha Compassion Trust, a solely charitable organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. Since its establishment in March 2004, our trust has been driven by the vision of promoting education, healthcare, and social well-being.
Our story began in the beautiful village of Kendua in Bodhgaya. where we opened an elementary school with forty students under the guidance of a compassionate lady teacher. Recognizing the dire situation of many children in the area who were not attending school, attending my dear friend, Vietnamese Non, and I decided to take action. In 2005, we received the school registration permit (Reg. IV/202//05) from the Indian educational authorities, marking the official recognition of our efforts.
Today, I am proud to say that Siddhartha Compassion Trust has grown significanlly. We now have three separate school buildings, providing education to 900 students and employing a dedicated team of 29 staff members across pre-primary. primary. high, and higher secondary classes. Additionally, we have expanded our services to include a Dental Clinic, Computer Class, Sewing classes, and a Physical Clinic. These facilities aim to cater to the holistic needs of our students and the local community.
Our trust extends its charitable work beyond education. We have actively participated in the social sector by distributing essential materials such as blankets, donating rations, installing drinking water pump sets in various villages and local panchayats within the Bodhgaya block. Through these initiatives, we strive to alleviate poverty and improve the li s of those in need.
Siddhartha Compassion Trust owes its success to the unwavering support of Vietnamese Buddhists and friends of the project. Their voluntary contributions have been the backbone of our organization, enabling us to advance global understanding, goodwill, and peace. With their help, we have made significant strides in promoting health, providing access to computer education, and supporting the educational aspirations of underprivileged children.
Looking back, I am incredibly grateful for the early support we received from Mata Ji, Bhushan Ji, and Vijay Kalyan. Their belief in our mission was instrumental in our initial growth. Cuc Thi Tran Mata Ji's inspiration has been a constant guiding light, and her tireless work serving the Indian people continues to inspire us all. I, myself, have been continuously dedicated to this cause since 2004, and I'm honored to have had the support of Thich Minh Hanh as the previous master, and the ongoing support of MR Tu Hung and other Vietnamese friends.
Thank you all the sponsor and friends for support our trust and help children.
